Shawmut celebrated the completion of nine marquee projects at Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States. Hudson Yards is apparently close to locking down yet another big-name tenant. Apple is talking about leasing 60K SF at 55 Hudson Yards, the New York Post reports. The deal isn’t signed, but the company is in late-stage talks for the lease. What’s more, Apple may also take a “large” retail space somewhere in Hudson Yards.
Apple signed a 45K SF office lease on Fifth Avenue near Union Square in 2011, although it’s unclear whether this new deal would be a relocation or offices for a new division.
Related Companies is three steps closer to reaching its goal of making the Hudson Yards’ development a luxury retail complement to New York’s Fifth Avenue.
Cartier, Van Cleef, and Piaget have made commitments to be a part of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, the 720,000-sq.-ft. retail arcade at the massive mixed-use development taking shape south of the Javits Center on Manhattan’s West Side. READ MORE
