Finish Carpentry and Millwork Installation for Customers Demanding Nothing Less Than the Finest.
The finish carpentry and millwork installations are in many projects the most important aspects that determine the quality of the final work. The meticulous job of these “artisans” is often considered an expression of art.
Many international millwork companies also rely on experienced installers to assemble their finished product for their clients all around the country.
Today we talk about Siteline Interior Carpentry and we sit down with the President Tom Frangella to learn more about the Company.

Tell us about your company. What kind of product or service do you provide?
Siteline Interior Carpentry provides the highest quality of finish carpentry and millwork installation to customers demanding the nothing less than the finest. Siteline also provides custom fabricated millwork that we install throughout the country.
How many employees does your company currently have? Do you have offices in different States?
Siteline is headquartered in Chicago with two offices, including our newest office just south of the City’s Magnificent Mile along Michigan Avenue. Siteline is also established in Los Angeles. From these locations, Siteline employs up to 240 skilled carpenters in the field, making it among the largest finish carpenters. The depth of strength provides Siteline with the ability to be exceptionally responsive to our clients.
What inspired the business and where is your company today?
I began my career as a carpenter in the field working for a contractor. I had some ideas on how to make that business better, but my thoughts were not taken seriously. This rejection inspired me to start a business that was based on high quality and exceptional responsiveness to my clients. Thirteen years later, Siteline has become known for these exact qualities; values instilled in every employee, in the field or in the office. Today, Siteline has built a strong reputation among the most discriminating General Contractors and retail brand names. Siteline brings this business approach, not only to high end retail projects, but also to our finish carpentry jobs involving high-rise structures, hospitality, health care, custom residential, schools, and sports facilities.
In which geographic area did you complete the majority of your projects?
Currently, Siteline performs the majority of work volume in the Chicagoland region. That is not to say that the projects we routine execute are not significant. Siteline has installed many millwork and finish carpentry projects in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Las Vegas and throughout Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio.
Is your company specialized in completing projects in a specific industry, e.g. Food & Beverage?
Siteline has become known for many of the nationally and internationally high-end retail projects we have installed across the country. However, Siteline is engaged in demanding and exacting projects in more than just the retail market. Siteline is known for installing millwork and finish carpentry in exclusive custom residential homes, restaurants and hotels, and high-rise condominiums as well.
Tell us about one specific project you worked on and which challenges you solved?
Siteline prides itself at becoming of the solution from the moment we step on the job site. By the time a project is ready for millwork installation, many other trades have experienced their own challenges, often resulting in the project schedule becoming compressed. However, in high-end retail, the store’s opening cannot be delayed as it is frequently associated with A-List stars and specific important dates. Recently, Siteline was retained to provide millwork installation at the Victoria’s Secret at the St. Francis Westin Hotel in San Francisco. With an original installation schedule of 20 weeks being condensed to 10 weeks, Siteline committed to not allowing our client, the General Contractor, to fail. Siteline provided experienced carpenters and exceptionally coordinated leadership to work two shifts, following immediately in trace of the other trades as they completed their work. In spite of the Owner’s concern of missing their grand opening on Black Friday, the most important retail day of the year, Siteline had the store finished and ready for merchandising in time for the start of the Holiday shopping season.
Which milestones are you planning to achieve in the next 12 months?
Over the next 12 months, Siteline will be expanding its market, its presence and its reputation in the Los Angeles, New York City, and Dallas/Austin markets. While the high-end retail opportunities open up doors for Siteline, our brand of quality and reliability are needed and highly sought in each of these areas in the others of work that Siteline takes prides in its performance.
What is the one piece of business advice that you never got?
The thirteen years of owning and operating Siteline have taught me many lessons and the advice I’m able to offer could be written in volumes. The most important advice I can offer is “to be a man or woman of your word. In business, a promise made to your client, no matter how large or small the contract, cannot be broken. Your word is your bond.”
