Australian skincare brand Aesop has opened its newest retail space along the Rue de Namur in Brussels. Spread across the street level of a six-story structure, the store features an interior adorned with yellow bricks in an homage to the distinctive brickwork of Belgian buildings during the 1930s and post-war period. Dezeen reports that architect Bernard Dubois spearheaded the design, which offsets the extensive brickwork with brushed aluminum accents.

Bricks are vertically arranged along volumes including the curved sink unit and counter, while a parquet pattern spans the floors. Beneath a shiny gloss ceiling, the store is also outfitted with a kitchen, washroom and storage space crafted from oak and appointed with wooden seating. READ MORE
