Mayfair, London, may be known for its high-end restaurants but a new community food market is opening in the area early next year.

The team behind Elephant and Castle’s Mercato Metropolitano have plans to open a new site, Mercato Mayfair, in a former church just off Oxford Street.

The new market on North Audley Street will focus on food education, awareness, and social responsibility. Spread across four floors, it will feature ‘cuisine counters’, a restaurant, a deli, cheese and wine stores, a coffee and gelato bar, patisserie, cocktail bar, a brewery, and a flower shop, as well as a rooftop terrace with an outdoor bar area.
