M Missoni opens its first boutique in Aventura Mall, one of the most exclusive fashion destinations in Miami. The 110-square-meter boutique, designed by Margherita Maccapani Missoni, creative director of the brand, in collaboration with the architect Barbara Ballabio of BbArchitetti, presents a new design concept that modifies the genetic codes of the brand’s DNA by re-presenting fragments of forgotten gems, archival drawings and iconic details. The design of the space contaminates contemporary pieces with others from the past, combining furnishings and architectural details with vintage pieces such as furniture, tapestries, reproductions of prints and original works of art. The selection of design materials also reflects the brand’s environmental sustainability values.
