BURBERRY DEBUTS LUXURY’S FIRST SOCIAL RETAIL STORE IN SHENZHEN, CHINA
Burberry announces luxury’s first social retail store in China’s technology hub Shenzhen, blending the physical and social worlds in a digitally immersive retail experience – a store of tomorrow for today.
Powered by Tencent technology, the store, which opened in the new Shenzhen Bay MixC development on 31 July 2020, is a space of exploration, designed to inspire and entertain luxury customers, where they can interact with our brand and product in new and exciting ways, in person and on social media.
The new store features fixtures and plinths constructed in a variety of materials and textures, from plywood to mirror and high-gloss finishes. The store unveils a color palette of beige, pistachio, pink and blue, as well as references to the Thomas Burberry Monogram and the fawn print. The 539 sqm/5800 sqft store features 10 rooms and offers a truly interactive experience

The store which features a new retail design concept overseen by Donatella Versace includes a complete range of products for both men and women, focusing on the main line of the house which announced this week it will stop the Versace Collection diffusion line. The overall look and feel of the new store is more luxuriously positioned.

RIMOWA Opens at TaiKoo Hui Mall China with a New Design Concept
RIMOWA, the manufacturer of premium luggage, has recently opened a location at the TaiKoo Hui Mall in China with a new design concept. The design was developed in collaboration with the Architectural firm SPaCe Architects. Rimowa and SPaCe Architects are currently working on two locations in Las Vegas and Bal Harbor FL.
SPaCe Architects was formed by Enrico Como and Scott Michael Stapleton in 1996 with offices in New York, Florida, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Milan, with members holding licenses to practice architecture in 13 states within the US. Apple Debuts New Store in Macau
Cupertino, Calif.-based technology giant Apple has revealed its newest retail unit in Macau, China. Designed by Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, and frequent collaborator Foster + Partners, the new cubic volume welcomes visitors via an external plaza and bamboo grove to express a theme of tranquility.
