Qualifications And Requirements

Must have experience managing projects with high intensity and short-term duration of 12-16 weeks
Experience being the sole lead on projects of $2-5 million dollars
OSHA-30 preferred
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others
College degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
Occasional travel as required
Buyout capability and experience with strong experience with leveling trades
Creating and processing RFI's using Procore or similar technology
Scheduling proficiency
Document management
Financial accountability
Presentation skills and ability to lead meetings
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

Technical Skills

- Provide space planning that corresponds to the functional programming, building code requirements and design objectives.
- Prepare 3D modeling during design development to clearly convey the design intent to the client. Experience with rendering plug-ins an asset.
- Select and specify materials and finishes that are appropriate to the project and application.
- Specify furniture, lighting, fixtures & hardware and liase with our in-house procurement team.
- Produce contract documentation for client review, permit applications, tender and construction that aligns with Cutler quality standards using CAD + REVIT.
- Co-ordinate with and manage external team including engineers, consultants, vendors and general contractors.
- Manage project team deliverables and maintain project schedules.
- Actively participate in professional development and Cutler peer reviews.
- Support or lead contract administration during + attend site visits for quality control and design conformance.

Requirements

- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in commercial tenant improvement projects
- Registered or on the path to registration with IDIBC

- Layout. Do your own layout, be knowledgeable and to be able to confirm the subcontractors’ layouts. You should independently check the layouts (ie: lights, A/C diffusers, and fire sprinklers), and if you find a discrepancy, make sure it is resolved.
- Check all plans to ensure if the dimensions are finish or rough. If there are any discrepancies, review and revise with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to schedule Subcontractors and Vendors:
- Confirm and coordinate with the Project Manager, the delivery dates on long lead-time items
- If work is not going according to the Job Schedule, contact the P.M. immediately. Write it up on the Daily Report and Weekly Report.
- Responsible for all notes, details, and clarifications on individual pages as well as specification sheets or books, any discrepancies should be brought to the attention of the Project Manager. Use the Field R.F.I. form.
Inspections: Make sure that all calls for inspections are made in a timely manner. Have the Permit Card and our Contractor identification number for the municipality in which you are working. Make sure that you know the rules of each building department concerning timely inspections
