I stopped by at the newly opened NIKE Store on Broadway. This five-story building is nicely designed immersing you with the full NIKE experience.
SCHIMENTI CONSTRUCTION is the General Contractor that worked with NIKE bringing the design to life.
Schimenti Construction has built a strong reputation in the retail construction industry and has developed a solid niche in urban construction. The firm specializes in developing retail shopping environments for some of the nation’s leading retailers.
Schimenti Construction served as the general contractor for nine stores in the Oculus, a 78,000 square foot retail and dining centerpiece of the new Westfield World Trade Center Transportation Hub. In addition to the Nike-Soho project, the company recently completed three Nike stores in the New York area including Flushing, NY, Brooklyn, NY, and Newark, NJ.
“We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Nike,” said Matthew Schimenti, President of Schimenti Construction. “The company’s innovation in the retail space, evident in the Nike-Soho design, mirrors our own philosophy of going beyond expectations. We were honored to be a part of it.”
Each floor is dedicated to a specific category of product allowing you to easily embrace the experience.
JENNIFER PASSAS, says it best in her article “Nike’s New Store Looks To Revolutionize The In-Store Experience“.
Designed to deliver personalized services through trial spaces and customization, visitors can try out new products in real sports settings with tech-enhanced features. There are fitness lounge inspired fitting rooms and instant personalization studios that set the in-store shopping experience apart from the online experience. Some could say the five-story store successfully creates a seamless link between Nike’s digital and physical platforms.
I’m always excited to see companies like NIKE (with an incredible e-commerce business) continually investing in building Brick & Mortar locations.
Great job NIKE and Schimenti Construction.
