Balenciaga Opens New Manhattan Store

Parisian fashion brand Balenciaga has debuted its latest retail space on Madison Avenue in New York. The Manhattan store was previously occupied by Gucci, and is the first in the city to feature designs from artistic director Demna Gvasalia. Balenciaga’s first uptown store, the location includes an industrial aesthetic akin to its Parisian flagship, wwd.com reports.

Spanning 1,800 sq. ft., the Madison Avenue store is crafted to resemble a factory or warehouse, complete with abundant textured concrete and glass. Aluminum-covered conveyor rails are suspended from the ceiling, while aluminum display tables, synthetic leather benches, and silicone curtains are also installed.
