French luxury brand Chanel has reopened its New York flagship following a renovation from architect Peter Marino. The upgraded location is endowed with numerous new elements including a 60-foot-tall sculpture crafted to resemble Mademoiselle Chanel’s signature pearl necklace. The living-room-style interiors feature couches crafted from the brand’s signature tweed fabric, while artwork from major artists ranging from Robert Mapplethorpe to Jenny Holzer lines the walls to amplify a sense of luxury.
Comprising five floors and 14,000 sq. ft., the space is the largest boutique in Chanel’s retail footprint. READ MORE
