Angelo Michilli, President of Michilli Inc said “the Gabriela Hearst flagship on Madison Avenue was a 1,550 SF project that followed a 3-month construction schedule. A primary focus throughout the project was sustainability. During the demolition phase, the majority of waste materials from the removal of prior tenant improvements was recycled rather than sent to a landfill. After the demo-phase, we executed Zari Architect’s design which emphasized the use of untreated and sustainable materials such as reclaimed oak and natural marble. The lighting systems were designed to be energy-efficient, automatically dimming when no activity is registered.”
