Celine opened a new retail concept on New York’s Madison Avenue on Monday. The store is the first designed by creative director Hedi Slimane for the brand and blends the designer’s signature aesthetics with artworks specific to the site.

The Madison Avenue location is the first of a new retail strategy for Celine that includes similar locations in Tokyo, Paris and another New York space later this month, and in Los Angeles, London, Milan, Shanghai and Beijing later on in the year.

The recently-update 5,000 square-foot space is comprised of wooden furniture over Basaltina floors, with white walls and black granite shelves.

Atmosphere Design Group LLC, Gilsanz Murray Steficek and Tectonic Builders, Inc. are the Architectural, Structural Engineering and General Contractor firms who have worked on the project.
