Wardrobe NYC has celebrated its brick-and-mortar debut with the opening of a new boutique in New York’s Lower Manhattan. The brand tapped Australian designer Jordana Maisie to craft the interior in homage to New York streetscapes, complete with a scaffolding system and industrial benches.
According to Dezeen, the SoHo store houses a blanched raw interior contextualized by the internal scaffolding, which also serves as a network for storage and display. The scaffolding also creates a central pathway through the boutique, choreographing how shoppers engage with the apparel, while fluorescent lights and mirror surfaces expand the small square footage and amplify the visual impact of the scaffolding.
