Naked & Famous Denim has introduced its newest flagship in New York

Naked & Famous Denim has introduced its newest flagship in New York’s chic SoHo retail corridor. Brooklyn, N.Y.-based CRÈME/Jun Aizaki Architecture and Design executed the interior design, which evokes both notes of pop art inspiration as well as Japanese design elements.

Beyond the storefront, which is punctuated with a 10-ft.-wide neon nude blonde signage, the 890-sq.-ft. retail space is lined with cotton denim floors crafted through a collaboration between the largest denim mill and the oldest tile company in Japan. The eastern wall of the store is adorned with a mural of wearable art including a floor-to-ceiling installation of pre-worn, faded jeans, while additional walls are wrapped in vintage blue pages from Japanese comics books. The store is also outfitted with one hidden door, accessible by pulling on a kokeshi, or antique wooden Japanese doll.
