We explore ideas specific to each project and as a result our aesthetics are inventive and diverse. For example the Roberts Loft explored various aspects of Minimalism, while the Bears of Alaska Discovery Center explored the lost building culture of the Alaskan Eskimo. A common visual thread is an attention to natural light, materials, and well resolved spaces. We work closely with our clients to understand project needs and aspirations, and have a team of consultants we work with continually (structural engineers, MEP engineers, lighting designers, acousticians, expeditors, and etc), general contractors, and specialized building trades (millworkers, stone masons, plasterers, painters, and etc). The team also actively collaborates with 5 Trimble brothers: James Trimble provides professional services, Sam Trimble design services, Roo Trimble and Brent Trimble industrial design and fabrication, specializing in custom hardware and lighting; and Vance Trimble interior design specializing in high quality mid-century Danish furniture.
