Thom Browne Unveils Miami Design District Store

Fashion brand Thom Brown has opened a new retail space in Miami’s Design District to coincide with this year’s Art Basel Miami. Housed within the historic Moore building, the 3,000-sq.-ft. store is now the company’s third largest brick-and-mortar location behind units in New York and Tokyo.

The company collaborated again with architect Flavio Albanese to design the Miami location. The interior is characterized by a “tile box effect” that wraps floors, walls and ceilings in gray ceramic subway tiles. Midcentury-style furniture also populates the store. Unique to the outpost is a mobile wall installation made from aluminum-framed wall panels that also feature Browne’s signature slat blind-covered glass.
