Louis Vuitton has announced that it’s opening the brand’s first-ever cafe and restaurant next month at its Osaka flagship store.
Le Café V will be located on the top floor of Vuitton’s new four-level Osaka Maison and will include a menu designed by acclaimed Japanese chef Yosuke Suga.
Michael Burke, chairman, and chief executive officer of Vuitton, confirmed the development and hinted that more restaurants and even hotels could be in the pipeline for the brand.

The store occupies a six-story building with a façade clad in 900 sqm. (9,688 sq.ft.) of silver panels that collectively mimic Bottega Veneta‘s trademark intrecciato technique. In slight contrast, the store interior includes nods to Japanese culture, featuring local elements, such as Kyoto White plaster, Tamo timber, and a local Japanese rock that was used in the Edo era, across the 800 sqm. (8,611 sq.ft.) retail space.
And obviously, there’s plenty of Italian elements too by way of various kinds of Italian marble, captured mostly by display tables and cabinets, and both furnishings by Giò Ponti and Gianfranco Frattini, two greats of Italian furniture design, and pieces of Bottega Veneta‘s very own home collection.

The first direct-retail of eyewear brand Ray-Ban opened this week in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The store has a space of 103 square meters and uses the brand’s signature color schemes: red and black. The lineup of more than 900 eyewear models extends all the way into the children’s line. In addition, the store will provide precision lenses and prescription sunglass lenses that have an original Ray-Ban logo engraving. Customization service “Remix”, which was only available online is also available at the store where customers are able to see the styles provided.
