Luxury brand Gucci is bringing a splash of 70’s-era glam to the shuttered South Central Bank in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, transforming the vacant space into a disco-inspired GG Psychedelic Pin pop-up experience.
Located at 160 N. Morgan St., the Chicago pop-up is the third iteration in Gucci’s “Pin” pop-up series, which the brand first launched at Denver’s Cherry Creek Shopping Center last November. The conceptual Pin pop-ups are inspired by interactive pins found on digital maps (each Gucci Pin pop-up location includes a customized Gucci pin that appears on Google Maps).
The 2,600-square-foot luxury pop-up store will run through March 2, 2020 and includes jewelry, accessories, shoes, and ready-to-wear from the brand’s Psychedelic collection, featuring the classic GG design newly remixed by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

Starbucks unveiled the new Reserve Roastery Chicago, which opened its doors to the public on Friday, November 15. Located on North Michigan Avenue and Erie Street on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, the opening of Chicago Reserve Roastery marks Starbucks sixth global Roastery and third location in the U.S.
Starbuckslargest-ever immersive coffee experience –across five floors and 35,000 square feet of retail space –celebrates the company’s heritage and is a tribute to the roasting and the craft of coffee. Visitors will be able to see, hear and learn about coffee’s extraordinary journey through intentional and unparalleled design while enjoying a menu featuring unique beverages exclusive to this location. The Chicago Roastery joins locations in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, New York, and Tokyo.

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago is a working coffee roastery where Starbucks Roasterswill be small-batch roasting Starbucks rarest single-origin coffees and blends called Starbucks Reserve. The coffee roasted in Chicago will be served exclusively to visitors of the location, available in handcrafted beverages as well as freshly scooped whole bean coffee.
The highly anticipated Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago is scheduled to open Nov. 15 on the Magnificent Mile, marking the last and largest of the chain’s grand coffee palaces.
The four-story emporium will employ 200 people and include on-site roasting of its rare Reserve beans, interactive tours, exclusive drinks “inspired by the culture and traditions of Chicago” and a full kitchen for making desserts, bread, pizzas and salads from Italian bakery Princi, Chief Operating Officer Roz Brewer said.

Vancouver, British Columbia -based activewear and lifestyle brand Lululemon has announced the launch of its largest retail space to date. The new store in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood totals 20,000 sq. ft. of retail as well as amenities, CNBC reports. The Chicago store is home to three different studios designated for meditation, yoga and high-intensity exercise, respectively.
The restaurant Fuel is housed across the second floor of the store alongside menswear, while women’s apparel spans the ground floor.
Roots has opened its largest location to date, an 11,448-sq.-ft., two-level “experiential” store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
