The brand, known for its signature crystal, initiated the revamp under the leadership of Giovanna Engelbert, Swarovski’s first-ever global creative director, who was appointed to the role in May of last year.
Swarovski has introduced a new brick-and-mortar concept called “Instant Wonder,” which will feature 30 stores in key global markets.
The 30 “Instant Wonder” stores will include live and digital activations designed in partnership with Paris-based events company Villa Eugenie. The first of these locations was opened in Milan on February 21st.
The new project was completed by the Architectural and General Contractors firms Th3 Standard and Blu Label.
To debut its Spring-Summer 2021 Men’s collection, Louis Vuitton has chosen the Miami Design District as its first stop in the U.S. The outdoor space at Jungle Plaza features oversized balloon figures, bespoke shipping containers, and eye-catching sculptures, while an Augmented Reality experience in this temporary residency is just as appealing for visiting guests.
KRITON Electronics Inc designed the entire audio system for this project. This three-zone system utilizes a speaker in each fitting room and sales container. The outside zone has more speakers all around the property counting 24 speakers in total. Each zone is grouped with separate volume and source control and it’s all controlled off an iPad or iWatch with the proper login credentials.

Läderach, the brand known for its fresh artisanal chocolate and piles of chocolate bark, opened its largest global flagship on Fifth Avenue on December 10th. A one-story, rotating cocoa-bean sculpture featuring real chocolate graced the 2,500-square-foot store, more than double to triple its typical store size. The store also will feature live chocolate production demos and classes.
The location marks Läderach’s third in the U.S. after opening its first on Lexington Avenue in New York’s Midtown East a year ago. Its second in New Jersey’s American Dream mall recently opened over the Black Friday weekend in November. The flagship also marks the company’s 100th worldwide after it opened 12 new stores in six countries this year, the fastest pace since the family-run business entered the brick-and-mortar retail business in 2004 and began operating stores under its own name in 2013, CEO Johannes Läderach said in an interview. The company also plans to open a store in Washington, D.C. early next year.

Loro Piana is making its home in the Meatpacking District a permanent retreat. Having first operated as a pop-up store from May 2019 through December 2019, the new Meatpacking District store was designed by architect Vincent Van Duysen. The shop utilizes a new, clean, open concept providing ample space as a hub for creative experimentation.

The 1,700-square-foot store at 3 Ninth Avenue is Loro Piana’s 23rd store in North America.
A focal point of the design is a glassencased winter garden — freestanding at the center of the boutique — which will be updated and cultivated four times a year following the seasons. The store is a combination of soft and neutral tones, mixed with natural light and flora. There is fluted Portland stone wall cladding and European oak wood finishes and metal accents have been coated in an aged white paint treatment.

The three-level, 11,800 square foot space is located in the Chelsea furniture design district at 116 7th Avenue. The store is one of only a handful of new retail builds in the area as most brands coming into the neighborhood renovate existing spaces.
The entire exterior uses a clean 8’ x 8’ repeating steel grid creating a multitude of framed vignettes. Product stories for furniture, lighting, and accessories come to life in the soft grey frames for passers-by. The vignettes transform routinely with the changing product assortment.
In contrast to the brick and stone buildings in the area, the new EQ3 store becomes a beacon of glass and light.
